Events

If you're interested in getting connected at Brookfield, any of our events are a great opportunity to get started:

Over the summer there are many international students living in Athens who struggle to make ends meet. Ohio University offers food assistance to students through the Cat's Cupboard, an on-campus food pantry. If you'd like to help us love on these students, we'd love your support! We will be collecting donations on Saturday, June 14th from 11 am - 2 pm. Dropoff will be at Campus Lot 55, which is located at the intersection of South Green Drive and Rufus Drive, across from River Gate Apartments. The pantry will accept any non-perishable items, but most needed items include: - Dried beans, lentils and other legumes - Spaghetti and pasta sauces - Canned proteins, such as sardines, tuna, chicken - “luxury” items like honey, sugar, flour, cornmeal, coffee - Grains such as quinoa, barley, oats (they have lots of rice right now) - Personal care items are also always welcomed

The church office will be closed on Thursday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We're so thankful to get to celebrate a holiday that that reminds us of the freedom and hope Jesus gives for unity between races.

Team Brookfield is a monthly church event for all those who serve. It's a great opportunity for the core of the church to gather together to receive vision, direction, and training for where we are going as a church. At Team Brookfield there will be a time of Bible teaching and training, worship, and prayer. Childcare is provided for newborns through 5th graders (registration is required; see form below).

Join us for Kids Summer Adventure where we're "Growing Faith on the Farm!" We will make crafts, play games, do science experiments, and learn a memory verse, all related to Jesus being the founder and perfecter of our faith. We'll dive into some of the most famous parables taught in the Bible (faith of the mustard seed, the vine and the branches, and the lost sheep) and have a chance to experience God as we learn more about Jesus with friends. KSA is open to kids in grades K-6. Check-in begins each day at 8:45 am and pickup is at noon.
